A refinery was being commissioned in an emerging Southeast Asian country. In an effort to reduce project costs, an alternative instrument vendor was chosen to provide the laboratory GC analyzers. The project progressed to near-completion. At the end, the GCs that were provided did not successfully execute the required applications. The firm responsible for plant start-up was incurring large fines each day. Wasson-ECE was contracted to provide GC analyzers suitable for the facility’s analytical requirements. New GCs were modified with additional hardware, applications were developed, and the instruments were installed. Each GC worked precisely as required with a minimal lead time. Additionally, Wasson provided a service team that was available on site for an additional six months to ensure smooth operations. Wasson-ECE continues a great relationship with all parties in question on this and other projects.
