A space-saving all-in-one solution for gas and liquid sampling.

When it comes to bench space, labs can be very limited. Every square foot counts, and being able to maximize the functionality of every piece of equipment that takes up space is critical. With a Single Cylinder Holder, labs can combine gas and liquid sampling manifolds into one device that can also pressurize cylinders and filter samples before they reach the analyzer.
For almost four decades, Wasson-ECE has provided custom solutions to a diverse customer base with many different needs. Not only do we manufacture gas chromatographs, but we also manufacture custom sample introduction systems, process sample panels, and small devices to streamline the sample handling process for our customers. The Single Cylinder Holder is a product that arose out of our sampling experience and our customers’ need for simple, robust sample introduction devices.
The Single Cylinder Holder has a built-in regulator to maintain cylinder head pressure, keeping the sample in liquid phase as it is drawn down, as well as providing a sturdy base to keep the cylinders secure during handling. Prior to entering the analyzer, samples pass through a built-in filter to remove particulates so that delicate components downstream are protected.

The Single Cylinder Holder is ideal for use in laboratories which analyze both liquid-phase and gas-phase samples, such as refineries or bulk monomer manufacturing. Labs that analyze liquid propane, propylene, or butanes could benefit from having a device that will provide more repeatable and accurate data, and allow quick and easy switching between different sample phase injections.
In high-throughput labs with limited bench space, the Single Cylinder Holder would provide operators and technicians with a single device that can handle both pressurized gas and liquid samples—without the need for multiple manifolds. Switching between sample types is as easy as turning 3-way valves mounted on the front of the device and purging the analyzer.

Base model includes stainless steel sample-wetted lines
Includes sulfinert sample-wetted lines for reactive components such as oxygenates and sulfurs
- • Compatible with both gas and liquid samples
- • Secures sample cylinders for safety and repeatable sampling
- • Stand mounts to bench for added stability
- • Accommodates cylinders of various sizes
Not compliant with any standard methods, but typically used with ASTM D2712 and D2163.
- • Two 3-way hand valves
- • 0-500 psi (35 bar) pressure regulator
- • Back pressure restrictor valve
- • 1/4” NPT fitting for quick connect interface
- • Optional specially passivated sample-wetted surfaces
- • Built-in 5 um liquid sample filter to remove particulates
